As potent psychological tools for boosting performance in high-pressure settings, visualisation methods, also known as mental imaging or mental rehearsal, have gained recognition as a means of improving performance in high-stakes scenarios, notably in the fields of sports, performing arts, and other highly competitive environments. When individuals are put under pressure, the purpose of this article is to investigate the efficacy of visualisation techniques in terms of increasing cognitive attention, emotional control, and motor execution. This study distinguishes several types of visualisations, such as internal vs external imaging, visual versus kinaesthetic imagery, and their distinct roles in performance enhancement. The study draws upon empirical investigations and theoretical frameworks from the fields of sports psychology and cognitive neuroscience. It has been shown that persons who engage in structured visualisation on a daily basis exhibit improved level of self-assurance, decreased levels of fear, and superior job execution when they are under pressure. In its conclusion, the abstract emphasises the necessity of systematically integrating visualisation methods into training regimens and performance preparation tactics in order to maximise the benefits that may be obtained from situations that include a great deal of strain.
