Abstract

The advent and subsequent rapid development of social media over the last two decades have fundamentally transformed how humans interact and communicate (Alsulimani & Sharma, 2019). Spread across different platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and many others, social media has gained widespread acceptance in many sectors, including government, education, business, and healthcare. However, due to advancing technology, social media is getting embedded in daily life more than in previous years. It has significantly affected the world (El Khatib & Firdouse Rahman Khan, 2017). This study seeks to understand how social media has changed human communication and thoughts. Social media has never been seen as so much more demanding than the face-to-face interaction people had in previous years. Social media is increasingly replacing face-to-face interaction among people nowadays (The influence of social media on human communication).
